The overdrive with a secret: two independent gain stages in one pedal, from a whisper of extra saturation to a full-bodied drive - plus a hidden trim that changes its character.
Flip the switch - or hit it with your foot.
The first gain stage is a gentle, warm overdrive that adds a few grams of extra saturation to your sound - the kind of drive that sounds like your amp on a good day, not like a pedal pretending to be one. Perfect always-on texture for clean and edge-of-breakup rigs.
Flip the toggle - or connect an external latching footswitch and do it with your foot - and the second stage stacks on top. Now you get a full-bodied drive, pushing close to distortion, with enough weight to be the main drive in your chain. The bottom-row volume and gain controls blend with the top row to shape it.
With an external footswitch connected (TR, latching, not included), the toggle is bypassed - your foot decides, not the switch position.
For months the workshop debated the name. The design was too much fun for one pedal - so for a while it was simply "the Secret Pedal." They finally landed on Sol Drive, the start of a new cycle. And here is the secret: an internal dipswitch that shapes the treble response of the first gain stage, changing the character of the overdrive and opening up even more possibilities.
Open the back with a Phillips screwdriver, find the dipswitch at the top right of the PCB, and choose your voice:

| 1 ON · 2 ON | Treble roll-off starting around 600 Hz - warm, rounded character. |
| 1 ON · 2 OFF | Treble roll-off starting around 1 kHz - softer top end. |
| 1 OFF · 2 OFF | No roll-off - full treble response, maximum openness. |
